Humber: OSW Cluster capability within the ports
After completing a BSc(Hons) in Marine Resource Management at the University of Aberdeen, Gareth joined Associated British Ports (ABP) - the UK's leading port operator with a network of 21 ports across Great Britain. ABP handles around one-quarter of the UK’s seaborne trade, contributing £7.5 billion to the economy every year and supporting 119,000 jobs. Gareth has held a number of senior commercial and operational management positions at several of ABP's ports. Highlights include the development of the UK’s largest offshore wind manufacturing facility at Green Port Hull and establishing the UK’s largest offshore wind operations & maintenance facility in Grimsby. Now based within ABP’s central strategic commercial team, Gareth is currently developing further offshore wind business opportunities across the UK.
