William Cleverly

Managing Director
OWC

William Cleverly is the Managing Director of OWC. He has worked in offshore wind for over 13 years, across Europe, Asia, and the US in roles varying from Project Director to site investigation specialist. Key experience includes project management, package management, and general direction and leadership across offshore renewables projects from early-stage development to construction offshore.

Will has an undergraduate degree from the University of Cambridge, is a chartered engineer with the ICE, and has completed an Executive MBA in London - coming top of the year.
Will’s remit is to grow the renewables arm within AqualisBraemarLOC to achieve the stated ambitions of 50% of revenue by 2025. To this aim, Will has a strong focus on both organic and inorganic growth. In 2018, Will pioneered and established the OWC Taiwan office; which is now OWC’s second-largest entity. His role since then has involved opening offices in Poland, Japan, and Korea and ensuring the OWC culture and leading market position is developed in these new entities.

Prior to joining OWC, Will led a team at GL Garrad Hassan / GL Noble Denton providing engineering technical advice to offshore wind developers. Previous to that, Will was a geotechnical engineer at Ramboll UK, primarily working on offshore wind farm foundation design on many of the monopiles now adorned with turbines in the North Sea.
