Rhona Fairgrieve is a Principal Environmental Consultant with Atkins, a global engineering company. She is currently working on the UK’s decarbonisation agenda and Floating Offshore Wind projects but has spent much of her career working with stakeholders, ensuring that there is good communication between those with an interest in how marine and coastal resources are used, planned for and managed. [In 2013, she was seconded from the Scottish Government to the European Commission to be part of the team that negotiated the Maritime Spatial Planning Directive, intended as a way of delivering sustainable development across economic, social and environmental aspects at local, regional, national and international levels. She has recently co-moderated the international 4th Baltic MSP Forum on behalf of the Latvian Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development
